(UPI) - Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is working on a TV documentary series about the geography and history of her home state, the New York Post said.

The best-selling author and one-time Republican vice presidential candidate reportedly is collaborating with "Survivor" producer Mark Burnett on the project, which is being compared to Discovery's "Planet Earth" nature series.

The Post reported Palin and Burnett have been shopping the potential series to various U.S. networks, but said no deals have been cut yet. Whether Palin intends to appear on-screen or remain behind the scenes is unclear.

"There's an awful lot of interest in her. As a short order series, it might work. It would depend on what kind of footage you get," an unnamed television executive told the newspaper.
